DCI Arrest Man Who Stabbed Friend to Death in Fight Over Who Was to Pay For Bodaboda Fare in Kikuyu

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has this evening released details of an arrest that Kikuyu Police Station officers made earlier today.

The officers arrested a man who had earlier killed his friend when they argued over who was to pay for Bodaboda Fare by stabbing him on the neck till death.

25 year old Daniel Waithera stabbed his friend, 21 year old Michael Mukami in Kikuyu, Kiambu County this morning at around 5:30 AM.

The motorbike rider identified as Stephen Mwango, picked the two pillion passengers up at Gikambura Market that is found in Kiambu County.

When they got to Muthangari which was their destination, the two men started arguing on who was to pay for the fare of the bike.

This is when Daniel Waithera rushed to his house and came back wielding a large kitchen knife which he then used to stab his friend.

He then disappeared into the dark and police were alerted of what he had just done and a manhunt was started for the 25 year old.

With the assistance of the public, the culprit was arrested this evening and has been taken to police custody and the murder weapon has also been recovered.
