A Form One Student Of A National School Who Succumbed To Malaria Laid To Rest

Death is a experience the leaves families of the departed in agony and state of disillusionment. It is even more painful to loose someone unexpectedly.

The untimely death of a form one student of famous and performing national school in Busia county has saddened kenyans who have been sending condolences messages to the family and friends of the deceased.

It is now revealed from the family of Lavender Akello, a form one student of Kolanya Girls National School that the girl succumbed to malaria.

Speaking during the funeral ceremony of Lavender, the father who is also a medical practitioner confirmed that the girl had been attacked by severe malaria with 22,400 parasites p/ml of blood leading to the failure of both the liver and kidneys.

The late was laid to rest yesterday Saturday 19th 2021 at their home in Teso south, Mundulusia area in Busia County.

Her friends who were deeply saddened also took part in the burial with her desk mate eulogizing her as a friendly,social and hardworking person.

Her death was received as a big blow not just to the family but to a school and the country at large. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
