A family from Bomet is now relieved after 8 years of anguish following an order by Judge Rosaline Korir to exhume a 8-year old child burried twice in Bomet and the remains be handed over to the family for proper burial.
The child was a victim of molestation from the christian missionary Gregory Dow who set up the orphanage with his wife in 2008 in Konoin subcounty, Bomet.
He was arrested and presented before a US Court to face child abuse charges after an an expose by NTV Kenya. He was sentence to 15 years in prison in US court.
The remains of the child was exhumed first following a court order. The remains was used as an exhibit in court in a case that was facing Mr.Dow
The body was taken to Longisa county Referral Hospital where it was kept before the county decided to bury the body in their cemetery.
The mother has asked for an apology from the county government for burying the body without informing them.
