Safaricom Cracking Down On Kenyans Who Pose Under Their Name To Sell Data Bundles And Con People

Safaricom launched a manhunt for a Kenyan who is believed to be conning citizens under the company's name. On Friday April 30, a customer revealed to the company a phone number which the culprit used in the fraudlent activity.

As stated by the customer, the fraudster posed as a Safaricom agent claiming to be selling data bundles. He uses this trick to get cash from people and eventually blocking them.

"What about people who use your name as Safaricom agent selling data bundles but eventually cone people their money like this number is conning people."

Safaricom responded by stating, "Hi kennitto. Thanks for sharing. We are following up on that number. Always share such details on SMS to 333..."

Many Kenyans are victims of con men depriving them a lot of money. Safaricom is on the verge of identifying the fraudsters to face the law. This step will save Kenyans from fraudlent activities.
