The family of the wife of Dr James Gakara has now revealed the last conversation she had with her estranged husband moments before he allegedly decided to inject excessive insulin on their two children. The incident happened during the weekend with the husband fighting for his life.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, September 22, the family of Winnie Odhiambo Gakara refuted claims that their daughter was planning to abandon the family and move abroad to further her studies. They further revealed that the couple were in constant communication on how they would bring their kids to Nairobi.

“They had planned a trip on Sunday. His last message to my sister was: ‘Don’t come over. The children and I will pick you in Juja on our way to Mary’s place,” Roseline Odhiambo, Winnie's sister, stated as quoted by a local media house.
She further stated that her sister doesn't possess even a passport and going abroad for education purposes didn't even cross her mind.
