Tom and Partrick have confessed that they are in jail because of their love for quick and easy money.
One day, they were approached by a man who offered them a job to transport bhang from Migori to Nairobi. The man offered them 10,000 Kenyan shillings each per trip. He assured them that they would never get into trouble since the bhang would always be properly concealed.
They accepted the offer and worked for several months without ever thinking that they'd one day be nabbed by traffic police officers.
On one fateful day, they were stopped by police at a roadblock near Nakuru. Their vehicle was searched and the officers saw the bhang.
They were immediately arrested and since they had no money to pay the hefty fines or lawyers, they ended up being jailed for life. Their employer on the other hand went into hiding.
Tom and Partrick say jail life has been hard. Their children now live a hard life and some of them dropped out of school due to lack of school fees.
They cling on the hope that they will be given a second chance by the president.
