Five people are reportedly dead and four injured after a greasy accident along Meru-Nairobi road at Nithi blackspot,Tharaka Nithi county.
According to county rescue team patron Alex Mugambi the accident was as a result of a head on collision between a passengers vehicle and a truck.
The dead bodies have not been identified yet and have been transported to the mortuary at Chuka town while those with injuries have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Nithi blackspot has been a place where people fear very much for a very long time now.It was until the government had to intervene and do the infrastructure along the place so as to reduce the accidents around that place.
Many accidents used to occur at the place but nowadays they are rare because if the renovation done at the place.However,drivers need to be very careful while crossing the Nithi bridge.
