Heavy Rainfall Expected From Tomorrow In The Mentioned Areas


Heavy rainfall is expected over few places in the country tonight. However most parts of the country are expected to be generally sunny and dry as from tomorrow until Monday next week. Therefore according to the report shared by the Kenya Meteorological Department through their official website, there is a possibility of a few areas in the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the South Eastern Lowlands and the Coastal region receiving heavy rainfall.

Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi are expected to receive sunny intervals during morning hours in the next five days from today. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are also expected over several parts of the mentioned counties in the next five days. Finally all the nights are likely to receive cloudy conditions.

Other counties including Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo are likely to receive sunny intervals during the morning and afternoon hours. Evening hours and nights showers are expected over several parts of the named region.

The Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley (Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Narok and Laikipia counties)

Morning hours are expected to be sunny. However, there is a likelihood of rains over several parts of the country as well as afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Finally the nights are expected to be generally cloudy. However a few places tonight may receive heavy rainfall.
