Guardian Angel bus burned into flames heading to Nairobi from Busia

On 2nd May 2022 Guardian Angel bus KCQ 784W was traveling from Busia to Nairobi where it burned into flames at around 5:45 am. This accident happened in the Buoye area at Ahero Kisumu road after its rare tyre exploded. The Kisumu county commander Alphonce Kimanthi said that the bus was carrying forty-five passengers and no casualties were witnessed. Forty out of the 45 passengers were not hurt.

The bus was later carried away from the road to facilitate the movement of other vehicles.

According to the report given the driver left Nairobi on 1st May 2022 at 8:30 m and got to Bungoma at 6:30 pm. The driver received a phone call from the manager and the manager told him that he is the one who is going to drive the passengers to Nairobi at 7:30 pm. This report made Kenyans give their views on the accident where some people said that the driver should have been given enough time to rest and sleep. Kenyans said that the drive from Nairobi to Bungoma is a long journey drive and the driver should have been given time to rest and another driver should have taken the drive from Busia to Nairobi. Others gave their view saying they are not sure if the bus had been checked up by mechanics to ensure it was safe for the long hour drive.
