A 63-year-old man was on Thursday murdered and his body stashed in sack found dumped along Kericho-Nakuru Road, Kericho County.
The body of the deceased, yet to be identified was discovered by pedestrians who then alerted the police.
The body was then later taken to the hospital mortuary waiting to be identified by respective family members.
Kericho County Police commander who confirmed the discovery said an investigation has been launched.
"Be patient as our investigations are on. We intend to establish the identity of the body," he said.
The police boss said the incident will be considered as a murder case adding that they are determined to make sure the deceased’s justice is met.
"These are notorious killings. We will make sure that the deceased’s justice is uphold," he added.
He at the same time asked the members of the public to volunteer anysuspicious information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators behind the murder.
The latest development came barely two days when two murder suspects were arraigned in court and charged.
