For the past few months, residents of Laikipia County have been living in fear following increased attacks by bandits who have been grazing in their farms without the resident's permission. Those who have tried to confront the herders have ended up dead.
This forced the government to launch an integrated operation to flush out the bandits who have been causing residents sleepless nights. The minister of interior Security had promised to restore security within one week.
It's been almost a month and Bandits are still terrorizing residents with the latest attack being reported this afternoon where One person was shot dead and cattle stolen by bandits at Wangwaci area in Ol-Moran, Laikipia. The information was confirmed by area MCA George Karuiru.
Residents are appealing to the government to do more to help solve the problem of insecurity permanently so that residents can finally enjoy peace.
