It's imperative that the rule of traffic law is adhered to on the highways so that loss of lives can be mitigated and people can travel safely on the roads.
This morning, there has been a deadly accident on the Kaplong-Narok Highway involving two vehicles.
The head on collision saw a Transline Classic Company bus and a matatu hit each other as the bus was trying to overtake.
It's still unclear as to how many people were injured in the accident that happened earlier on this morning.
Careless overtaking is what led to the accident which could have been easily avoided by adhering to the rules.
We urge drivers to always ensure that they overtake at designated points and where there is absolutely no obstruction from the incoming lane.
