Deputy President William Ruto's has been shaken previously with its different allies in serious court cases. One of its ally, Mike Sonko, is in hot soup after fresh charges of terrorism were levelled against him.
Tangatanga MP Aisha Jumwa is the latest culprit to be in deep soup. This is after Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) said they were having strong evidence linking the vocal Coastal politician to the death of ODM supporter Gumbao Jola.
The unfortunate death occurred when a fracas ensued between ODM supporters and her security details on 15th October, 2019.
Assistant DPP Alloy Kemo has said that Noordin Haji's office has gathered enough evidence including exhibits that could be presented before court. The exhibits include AK-47 and another riffle, spent cartridges collected from the crime scene.
Other evidence has been obtained from the postmortem that was done on the deceased. They have also lined 30 witnesses for upcoming court proceedings.
The Malindi MP together with her boyfriend Geoffrey Okuto are out on Ksh. 1.5M cash bail.
