Relief To Family Of Tom Okwach Who Was Buried Alive 7 Months Ago As His Body Is Retrieved

Just hours after the story of Tom Okwach, a gold miner who was trapped seven months ago in Abibo mines in Bondo, Siaya County was aired by Citizen TV, the family can now breath a sign of relief as his body has now been found and Retrieved.

According to the sources, the body of Tom Okwach, a 29-year-old gold miner has now been retrieved seven months after he was buried alive in December, 2021. According to story aired by Citizen TV, Okwach was among the eight miners trapped in Abibo mines in Bondo seven months ago. Six people were rescued alive while two bodies retrieved from the mine.

Okwach family which has not given up in searching for the body of their son was too hopeful that one day the body of their son will be retrieved and accord him a decent burial. According to Okwach mother, she was sometimes not sleeping due to pain of losing her son who was buried alive seven months ago.

According to Luo culture, when a person dies and his/her body cannot be traced, they bury a banana stuck but they Okwach family could not accept that as they believed that one day they shall find their son.
