In a video circulating online a man who is clearly from Meru eats a raw chicken as onlookers standby watching and filming. From the video the man is seen feasting on the raw meat together with the chicken feathers and the people near him are clearly entertained by the act.
Consumption of raw meat and feathers is harmful to ones health. Raw meat may contain harmful bacteria such as Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter and E.coli that may lead to food poisoning. The harmful bacteria from raw meat are usually destroyed when meat is correctly cooked thus the insistence on proper cooking of meat by health experts. It's not clear what prompted the man to eat the raw meat but from the video he appears to be either drunk or mentally unstable.
