"You find a children kept in poorly conditioned shops in the name of children homes, this is not good," he said.
He has asked those who are taking care of orphaned children to do so with compassion and good will so that they grow up well and become useful citizens in future.
His sentiments have been lauded by David Lupao of Bungoma Child Rights Network who says taking care of children is an obligation to all human beings and sometimes situations force children to be in orphanages.
"They do not get their out of their wish, some have had their rights violated by society," he said.
Lupao has urged the Government to formulate structures so that all orphaned children get access to parmanent solutions.
It should be noted that children have the primary rights to good medical care, shelter, clothes, food and Education.

The main challenge facing children in Bungoma is defilement. About 3000 children have been impregnanted in Bungoma county since January. Today's ceremony has condemned violation of children rights including rape, defilement and child labour.
