A few months ago a lady officer came to the limelight after she recorded a video decrying of police mistreatment.
The lady now identified as Viviana said her seniors were making some s£xual advances on her and after rejecting them she was badly treated.
Viviana was put on record saying she was tired of the police service and she never wanted to kill or commit suicide like her colleagues.
In a case scenario of the glaring impunity deeply entrenched in the service, a police Vivian who went viral months ago decrying all kinds of harassment and frustrations meted on her by male seniors, who she had allegedly declined their advances has been interdicted from the service.
Speaking on Radio Jambo, Vivian laid bare the dark side of the service which she says is pushing so many young men and women into depression and in extreme cases, turning suicidal.
Vivian who was remorseful but bold revealed that female officers are mostly targeted by the seniors who demand s£xual favors and failure to yield to the demands opens our frustrations galore, making an officer’s life in the service going forward a complete misery, desolation, and despair.
She says turning down a senior’s advances makes unnecessary transfers to hardship areas, long working hours, demotions, and interdictions the victims' daily bread unless they bow out of the service quickly or yield to the perpetrators' demands.
Vivian's viral clip cause uproar with the IG calling for all cops not to take their personal issues on social media.
Police officers have been on the receiving end where many have gone silent about the unfair treatment by their seniors.
Many fear being interdicted and losing their jobs like the Viviana case where she lost her job after decrying s£xual advances from her bosses.
The past few months Kenyans have been waking up to scary scenes and sad news of police officers having killed their colleagues and committed suicide under some unclear circumstances.
In some latest case studies, police officers have killed their spouses and later committed suicide for some unknown reasons.
A huge number of these incidents have been associated with severe cases of depression, with the service now demanding that all cops go through a seriously mental check-up.
