New Details Emerge On Why Angry Mob Wanted To Lynch Cop Before He Was Rescued By Other Officers

There was drama in Lusui market within Iguhu location, Kakamega County where a police officer was about to be lynched by an angry mob.

According to reliable reports, the officer who has been identified as APC Zahnun Musa Ore attached to CIPU Regional Commander Western got himself in trouble when he failed to pay some money to an Mpesa dealer of Raymond Masheti.

The reports reveal that the officer had gone to the Mpesa shop of Raymond Masheti in order to deposit five thousand shillings, but promised to pay later that evening which he failed to.

He then went to the shop today to deposit two thousand eight hundred shillings which got the Mpesa owner alert the police who failed to arrive on time.

Boda boda guys who were around responded to the call from the Mpesa shop owner as they started landing blows and kicks on him.

The accused officer tried to escape, but he was cornered by the boda riders who wanted to lynch him. Fortunately, other police officers arrived quickly and dispersed the mob using teargases.

Kakamega Sub county police boss confirmed the incident and promised that an investigation will be carried out and arrest the culprits.
