A sad incident occurred on Thursday night, a police officer commited suicide. The deceased, was from manning the ongoing KCSE exams when he ended his dear life.
The incident occured in Cherangany police station, Trans Nzoia County at 8p.m . The deceased, Corporal Rionosia Maiywa, was about to head out for night patrol when he pulled the trigger on himself.
According to my sources, the colleagues of the deceased heard two gunshots prompting fast action. Police officers rushed to the house of the deceased, broke down the door only to find Corporal Maiywa dead.
They found the body of the late seated on a chair armed with an AK-47 riffle with 30 rounds of ammunition. No suicide note was recovered from the scene. If you have suicidal thoughts reach out to someone you trust and open up. You're mental health is also important.
