Bungoma County is mourning the untimely demise of a popular musician and journalist murdered in cold blood on Friday night. Peter Oteng, a Communication Officer at Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi’s office, was murdered at his home. Several reports have indicated that he might have struggled with his killers who overpowered him. He had deep cuts on the head and arms.
His body was found lying in a pool of blood a few metres from his house. It is suggested that he might have struggled with his killers who later overpowered him.
MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has condemned the incident urging police to speed up on the investigations. The deceased previously worked as a communication officer at Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa’s office. However, a difference between him and Barasa emerged prompting him to quit and join Wamunyinyi’s office.
Residents want the relevant authorities to speed investigations and bring those responsible for the young man’s death to book.
