Heavy Rainfall Expected as From Tomorrow In The Following Parts of the Country, Weatherman Warns

Kenya Meteorological Department has warned Kenyans against heavy downpour that is expected over few places in the country. Detailed regional weather forecast period indicates that, the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley including Nyamira, Kisii, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, and Nandi are expected to receive heavy downpour as from tomorrow until Wednesday next week.

Mornings are likely to receive rains over few places as from day one of the weather forecast period until the last. However several parts of the mentioned counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several places. Nights are likely to receive rains as from tomorrow until Monday. The remaining days will receive cloudy conditions during the nights.

North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are also likely to receive rains as from tomorrow until Monday next over few places. Report indicates that days are expected to receive sunny intervals and the nights expected to receive partly cloudy conditions.

The Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi Counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow until Wednesday next week. Morning drizzle is expected over few places as from tomorrow. Afternoon showers are expected to occur over several places. Parts of Thika, Kiambu and Murang'a are expected to receive rains tonight.

North Eastern parts of the country especially Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo counties are likely to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours over several places. Afternoon showers are also expected over few places. Residents warned against flash floods.

The South Eastern Lowlands especially Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties are expected to receive morning, early afternoon and nights showers over few places.
