Caroline Kagongo will be buried today at her father's home in Iten,Elgeyo Marakwet County. The ex-policewoman who allegedly killed two people before committing suicide will be buried according to christian traditions and not a cremation as she wished.
Family said it has been three difficult weeks of unexplained harrowing events.Relatives and friends viewed the body of the late Caroline Chemutai Kangogo at Nyawa village in Elgeyo Marakwet county
The body was fitted with a wedding dress as per Kangogo's request in a draft text message found after her death.
While Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor said the autopsy confirmed Kangogo died by a single gunshot to the head, he did not confirm whether she was killed or she committed suicide.
The late Caroline Kangogo will not be accorded the ceremonial send-off like that of serving police officers."She remains our daughter. We have prepared a feast to celebrate her life." Kagongo's family stated.
