Gender activist Winnie Wadera is the talk of social media after revealing that she cooks githeri for her boyfriend to last him a week before she returns over the weekend. Wadera posted in Kenya's Facebook group 'Let's Cook Kenyan Meals and members cannot let her be.
As it is popular with Kenyan men, Wadera has been told that 'premium tears' a common phrase for heartbreak is waiting for her. The post has attracted many reactions just 30 minutes after.
"Before I leave my boyfriend's house I try to leave behind some githeri in his fridge that he will eat for the week...ahwww🥰," Wadera posted.
Women told the activist to stop doing so until she is officially married, they noted that men such kindness for granted, and if she's not the one, the man would use devious words to convince the one they love that the 'githeri' was cooked by their mother
"That's nice, you are giving the other Lady easy time, her work will just to fry the gathering and eat with your boyfriend," Kasera said.
"Stop doing such nonsense, men don't appreciate such gratitude, you'll cook for him and he will invite his other girlfriend who will come with avocado and they will enjoy your hard work without feeling guilty. Premium tears loading," Njeri said.
