According to a police report seen by this opera news writer stated that on the 28/9/202,a man namely Robinson Manyonge Alias Loketo was beaten by police officers from Big Tree police post and died on 29/9/2021 while undergoing treatment at Transnzoia County Referral Hospital.
The police report seen further said that the police patrol base was visited by the Sub County Police Commander Kiminini Mr. Francis Tumbo Superintendent of Police,his counterpart from Directorate of Criminal Investigation Officer Kiminini Inspector Joseph Adongo and the Officer Commanding Station Kiminini Chief Inspector Meshack Kipchumba .
During the inquiry one Douglas Momanyi informed the senior officers that On 28/9/2021 at around 8:45 pm while going home in company of the deceased, they were called by three police officers Corporal Sendera ,Kiprop and one National Police Reservist Mr Antony who for no apparent reasons started beating them and stated that the deceased was in great pain as he left him behind only to learn that he died while in Hospital.
The officers namely No.57420 Corporal David Sendera,No.250879 Police constable Lius Kiprop and No. 04065 National Police Reservist Antony Wangunda have been arrested and placed in police cell.
Investigations ongoing and if found liable they will be jointly charged for the murder of Mr Robinson Manyonge.
