Lucy Wairimu was found dead after she was sent back home from school. She was a learning at Gathanji Primary School. This come at a time she was preparing for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.
Report indicates that Wairimu was on Tuesday morning sent home for failure to complete her assignments. She successfully arrived home and completed the assignments as was required.
Her aunt Monica Wanjiku reveals that she saw the girl heading back home at around 7.00 am in the morning. Upon completing the assignments, she requested her mother to accompany her to school.
Unfortunately, before the duo left for school, Lucy Wairimu went back to her room where it is alleged that she committed suicide. Her mother reported that she found Wairimu's lifeless body lying in their bedroom.

The incident was confirmed by the Police Commander Donatha Kiplangat who added that Wairimu's mother found her daughter's body in the bedroom. Police have launched immediate investigations as the body of the late is in the mortuary awaiting for postmortem.
