Body Of Cop Kangogo Brought To Moi Teaching And Referral Hospital In Eldoret For Post-Mortem Examination.

The body of police officer Caroline Kangogo arrived at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret on Tuesday for autopsy before being buried in Elgeyo Marakwet region.

The body was removed from Iten County Referral Hospital and taken to MTRH where senior state pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor will perform surgery.

An autopsy failed last Friday, prompting the family, led by his father Barnaba Kangogo, to protest as they were forced to postpone the funeral.

Mark Kangogo, the deceased's brother, said a date would be set for the post-mortem examination.

Barnabas and other family members were present for the autopsy.Oduor is expected to be in hospital from Nairobi.

Cop Kangogo postmortem failed to happenThe chief gynecologist is unable to attend as he was notified late, rescheduled for him on Tuesday.

Caroline allegedly shot herself dead in a toilet at her parents' home in Ngawa village near Iten during a search for the murders of Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru on July 5 and Peter Ndwiga Njiru, 32, who was found dead at his residence in Juja, Kiambu County.

Circumstances surrounding his death sparked a major controversy especially on the internet as many Kenyans were questioning whether the officer had shot or killed himself by unknown individuals who may have been in control of the stadium where the body was found.
