Thika Superhighway traffic police while confirming the discovery said that the deceased was knocked to death by a hit and run car on Wednesday afternoon.
Brief reports by the police revealed that they got wind of the dead man from the motorists and after racing to the scene, they found out it had been knocked down overspeeding car.
The area police boss who commented on the incident said Police investigations are underway.
“We are ongoing with probes into the accident so that we can unravel the root cause of the death as we trace for the driver of the car,” the police boss told the press.
The body of the man was transferred to Nairobi City morgue pending autopsy and further identification.
The police boss urged the motorists to take precautionary measures while cruising along the busy roads.
