The country today started the morning with a sad news of having lost one of our most important people. The first ever Attorney General of the republic of Kenya passed away early Sunday morning. He passed away at the age of 101 years. Many leaders and Kenyans sent their condolences to the family and friends.
Social media was in morning of a hero who had done great things for this country. Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga is one of the top leaders who shared his memories with the late Charles Njonjo.
"Mama Ida and I received with shock and heavy hearts news of the passing of my long time friend Charles Njonjo. As a nation, we have lost a towering giant who served in key roles during his life. Our legal fraternity greatly benefited from his input and hard work," Raila quoted in a tweet.
