According to the United democratic association party national executive Mary Emase,the rowdy youths who attacked deputy president and his squad demanded Excess money from the second in command which they were not given.
According to lock newspaper,the youths demanded ksh 400,000 for them to be peaceful with the deputy president which they were not given.
Nevertheless,no car owned by the deputy president William Ruto was damaged by the rowdy youths but the newspaper reports that there are some two cars which were among the motorcade which were stoned and damaged.
"A group of youth in busia had demanded to be paid ksh400,000 ahead of deputy president William Ruto's tour to the county on Saturday before his motorcade was attacked," the newspaper reported.
"The Youth had said that the dp William Ruto's meeting would be disrupted if they would not be paid the amount.," Emase told the star.
"There were however minimal violence in busia county on Sunday during Ruto's tour but police intervened," the newspaper added.
" Two vehicles which claimed to be part of the dp Ruto's Motorcade were attacked and their windows smashed at Korinda in matayos as Ruto drove towards nambale. The jobless youths wanted sh. 400,000 before they vandalized the vehicles . We cannot allow jobless people to come and rule us in busia ," Emase said.
"She said none of the vehicles belonging to the deputy president William Ruto and other top United democratic association party leaders was destroyed," the star added.
This news and revelation comes hours after deputy president William Ruto was attacked in busia an incident which led to Matiang'i ordering police to probe and investigate the issue.
