One of the risky roads to use in Kenya is Salgaa road that is off Nairobi town. People are however forced to use this road since they like an alternative. Salgaa comprises of a long movement down the slop. At times, drivers are tempted to drive on free gear. This has made them to lose control of the vehicles they are driving which at times roll along the slope resulting to tragic accidents.
During the 2017 December holidays, the place almost recorded accidents daily which claimed lives of people travelling home to enjoy the festive seasons with their families. Further investigations had it that since the oncoming drivers were either unable to control the vehicles or maybe decided to overtake, they came head on with the ones coming the opposite direction.
Mai Mahiu is another risky road in Kenya. As one travels using it, they are able to see the steep escarpment of the Great Rift valley stretching all the way to its floor.
The most shocking is that the road is narrow but experiences a very huge traffic congestion comprising of large trucks trying to overlap and overtake on each other making it more congested and risky to use.
