Mildred Akinyi hails from Ugenya Constituency in Siaya County and hasnt been seen in over a month. She is said to be deaf but can repeat the words that you say to her which would make communication a bit difficult for anyone who does not understand her.
She is an orphan who has been living with her grandmother until the time of her disappearance. She is said to have left when her grandmother was asleep a month ago and since then, her whereabouts have been unknown to the family.
It is agonizing for any family to lose a member especially during this period when a lot of people have turned up missing. The female gender has been the worst hit with these disappearances which seem to have no end to them.
A 34-year-old going missing is no easy matter as this is an adult who can defend herself unlike small children who are at the mercy of whoever takes them. It's worse for families as they cannot get closure until their kin is located wherever she is.
Mildred Akinyi comes from the village of Uloma which is Sigomre Ward in Siaya County. The family is appealing to anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to let them know and end their misery which is unbearable at this point.
We do hope that Mildred will turn up soon unhurt and be reunited with her distressed family. It's unclear how she got away but the matter has been reported to the police who are doing everything they can to locate her.
