Raila started his attack by saying a section of leaders were taking advantage of their positions to enrich themselves while Kenyans are suffering.
“There are people who have been given the responsibility to give services to Kenyans buy they are stealing from Kenyans. These thieves drive big vehicles and live in big houses,” said Raila.
The former Prime Minister continued by saying there is an individual, whom he did not mention, who has allegedly stolen money then comes to Kenyans to give them the money he has stolen.
“He comes to you, carrying your money and saying call me to your youth groups and women groups. Some of the money he buys buses for schools and he takes some to the church. Money that he has stolen, he comes back with it looking for praise,” said Raila.
The ODM leader further said that stern action should be taken on these politicians who have been stealing from Kenyans adding that they should be jailed.
Raila who has not revealed his interest to be in the presidential race said he and others he did not mention plan to deal with corruption.
“The first thing we are going to do is to seal all these loopholes and see if there will be development. All these people should be in jail. We can remove people from poverty to riches but we must have a strategy for that,” added Raila.
