Businessman robbed Sh1.5 million after withdrawing from the bank

A businessman in Nairobi was on Tuesday robbed 1.5 million shillings, immediately after withdrawing it from a bank in Donholm estate.

He was on his way to pay his employees when occupants of another car blocked his double-cabin vehicle and ordered him to hand over the money which was packed in envelopes. The three robbers who were armed with rifles sped towards Eastern Bypass leaving him shaken and stranded.

The businessman did not manage to capture the vehicle’s number plate since everything was happening too fast but he is sure that it was a Subaru model.

The police report was filed at the Embakasi Police Station and taken over by DCI Detectives who have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and a manhunt has been launched to nab the three culprits.

In these kinds of cases, there is almost always an inside man working in the bank or an individual around the area watching those who come in and out of the bank and targeting the most vulnerable targets.
