Purity Kathure was arrested while she was only 16-year-old for a crime that was committed by her mother.
According to Purity, she claims that she heard her mother planning with unknown people on how they were going to kill her dad but since she was a young girl, she was never bothered.
She claims that her parent's relationship had been the worst from when she was born. She claims that most of the time her mother was always chased away by the dad.
On this particular day when her dad was killed, she had gone to visit her boyfriend when she received a distress call from her brother informing on what was going on.
When she arrived home, the body of her dad had already been collected and taken to a local hospital morgue.
After the burial, she found her dad's mobile phone which her mother asked her to use despite of knowing that the police officers had been looking for it.
She claims that after two weeks of using it, she was arrested and after court hearing she was sentenced for a lifetime imprisonment.
She decided to keep quiet to protect her mother where she claims that she now regrets because her mother is already dead even after protecting her from being punished.
Purity has no hope of being released unless president Uhuru Kenyatta feels pity on her. She has been in jail for the last 13 years and she claims that she has learnt a lot.
