
Today the residents of Kisii County encounter sad news following the untimely demise of a Remandee who committed suicide inside a police cell, the police are still probing the issue relating to this act.
According to the report filled by the constables on duty, Lucy Njeri and Emmanuel Koech,who are officers at the Kitutu central police station, the prisoner identified as David Ondaro who is 24 years old had committed suicide using a belt.
The Remandee whas arrested on November 17 ,2021 over a theft if a motorbike valued at 124400 Shillings, being a suspect he was taken to the police cell where he has been waiting for the case to be Heard but he choosed to hung himself.
He was expected on court on Monday , where his case was to be Heard today , but he decided to commit suicide without giving the reasons for the decision, the police are still investigating on the issue .
The body has been taken to Kisii Referral hospital mortuary pending an autopsy.
