First and foremost Mr. Kipsoya stated that the legal petition i submitted to the KPLC CEO and Board of Directors through my lawyers had been reviewed and action taken to improve service delivery at the Elwak KPLC Sub Station.
Engineer Kipsoya also stated that the company Engineering Department undertook an assessment to review the situation at Elwak Sub station.
He affirmed that the assessment they did proved that the issues I raised in my petition were valid, genuine and proved by the reality of the situation at the KPLC Sub Station in Elwak.
The Engineer also stated that the staffing problem at Elwak station will be sorted soon through an internal process that will seek to improving the staffing levels at Elwak Sub Station.
Engineer Kipsoya also briefed me on the engine capacity issue that has been a backbone clause in my petition.
The Head Office specifically the Engineering Department is expecting a report to decide on the best capacity solution for Elwak Kenya power and lighting Company Sub Station.
To boost the electricity demands of Elwak town, Engineer Kipsoya stated that the KPLC will develop and install a solar power supply system in Elwak town and Wargadud.
This will go a long way in easing the burden on the engine powered system.
Elwak and Wargadud are two towns that depend on each other for electricity needs as well as many other socioeconomic issues. Therefore the new solar system will boost the productivity of our economy.
My people of Elwak, rest assured that this battle will be won soon. We are on the course to getting services improved at our Elwak Sub Station and our work hard and efforts of legal petitions will soon bear fruits for our people. No more suffering in darkness. We are going to win this battle for improved service delivery of Elwak electricity.
