Police arrest woman after Ford Kenya official dies mysteriously in lodging

Bungoma County Police are holding a 25-year-old woman in custody over the mysterious death of Ford Kenya official, Moses Nabibya.

Mr. Nabibya, Ford Kenya's national organization secretary in Bungoma, was found dead at one of the Misikhu motels in Webuye on Thursday morning.

Webuye East Police Chief, Martha Ng'etich, said they are holding the woman because she was with the deceased.

She said that the manager of the hotel where Mr. Nabibya died went to the local police station in the morning to report the incident.

“Mr. Hendry Walucho Kisiangani, the station manager came and registered the statement with the police. The woman is the main suspect,” Ms Ng'etich said. Spent the night in one of our rooms and around 5 a.m. the man started complaining of increased blood pressure while in the room with a woman,” police said. .Two pairs of Mara Moja painkillers were found on the table.Ford Kenya leader, Moses Wetang'ula, mourned the deceased like a devoted man.“This morning, I lost a solid pillar of our party, Mr. Moses Nabibiya, a very staunch supporter of the party. Mr. Nabibya has supported the party in bad and good times and has been the mainstay of the party, especially in my Kimilili. My condolences to the family, friends and the Ford Kenya fraternity," said Mr Wetang'ula.

Bungoma representative Catherine Wabilianga described Mr. Nabibya as "a man without fear, who will be remembered for his active participation in the Ford Kenya party in local politics and issues affecting the party in the county”.
