Former KTN Sports Anchor Is Dead

Robert Soi, former KTN (Kenya Television Network) sports journalist died today at Nairobi Hospital due to complications on surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.

The family issued a statement on the tragic news which has moved a lot of people know him as a veteran journalist who inspired many.

Robert Soi was an editor and sports anchor with the Standard-Media owned TV station in the early 2000s before moving to China Global Television Network (CCTN).

Apparently, Soi was involved in an accident some months ago and sustained serious head injuries. According to his family, he was doing so well after treatment until when he developed a blood clot in his head. This prompted his admission at the Nairobi Hospital.

The deceased was married to renowned Aljazeera journalist Catherine Wambua Soi and they met way back in KTN when Catherine was working as a reporter.

His former colleagues and other people who knew him have condoled with his family sending messages of hope of strength. He was described as a friendly person who loved the company of people and having a good time.
