Laikipia County has been experiencing insecurity Issues concerning war between Bandits and locals. Policemen led by interior Cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiangi Led an oparation to flush out criminals few weeks ago. The cabinet secretary assured residents of quick return to normal being within few weeks. Even a military base was established in the region with the target of flushing out any bandits.
Well, what is the cause of continued fights among communities living within Laikipia County? It was established that grazing Fields are some of the reasons to why there are clashes. It is Alleged that some Locals are not happy after several farms were fenced off as private properties hence leaving them without land to graze on.
We, According to the standard newspaper publication. Local Leaders in Laikipia County have sent an urgent message to the president. They have asked the government to Grant them an opportunity to graze there animals at ADC Land which was Linked to deputy president William Ruto.
They're claiming that, previously, They were allowed to graze their animals on that land during draught periods at a small fee. Currently, they're not allowed to step their feets on the farm. Something they're claiming it's haunting them and causing an explained suffering among them.
