Another Killing in Kisii

Matundura is currently in police custody and is being held for further questioning as the investigation continues. The incident has shocked the local community and has raised concerns about the level of violence in the area. It is not yet clear what led to the argument between Matundura and Bogecho, but it is believed that the dispute may have been related to a family matter.

In recent months, there have been a number of similar incidents in the Kisii and Nyamira County, including the murder of 47-year-old Ezekiel Nkeere Gitangwa, who was found murdered in a nurse's house on New Year's Day with all of his limbs chopped off. Police suspect that Gitangwa, who was married, may have been involved in a romantic relationship with the nurse, Agneta Agwata, who is now considered the prime suspect in the case and is currently in hiding.

In another incident, a man hacked his two daughters to death and then dumped their bodies in a farm. The man has been granted a police application for continued detention for a further 14 days as the investigation continues.

There has also been a disturbing case in which a child had his eyes gouged out after being snatched from outside his grandmother's house by an assailant later identified as his cousin. The child's mother and grandmother, as well as the cousin, have been arrested and are facing attempted murder charges in a case set for mention on January 23.

These incidents have caused outrage in the local community and have led to calls for authorities to take action to address the problem of violence in the area. Many people have expressed their concern about the level of violence and have urged authorities to do more to ensure the safety of residents.
