Government Swiftly Swing Into Action To Save Panicked Kenyans Using Mombasa Road And Uhuru Highway

After Kenyans sent alarm on the poor drainage on Mombasa Road and Uhuru Highway where after raining,it was a pool of water with vehicles forced to blindly crossover,the government has reacted swiftly to salvage the situation. According to Kenya National Highways Authority,KeNHA through their Twitter handle,the authority has revealed that Nairobi Expressway project team has dispatched excavators to open up the drainage and dredging in the affected sections.

"In light of recent floods along Uhuru Highway and Mombasa Road (A8),the Nairobi Expressway project team has dispatched excavators to open up the drainage and dredging in the affected sections" Read the tweet shared by KeNHA.

The authority further reveals that the affected areas will also be barricaded to enhance safety while apologizing for any inconveniences caused.

"The flooded areas are also being barricaded to enhance safety. We apologise for any inconveniences caused." The authority shared.

This comes as photos circulating online shows submerged cars sending Panick among other motorists using this road.
