Three pupils reportedly injured in a road accident involving school bus and a pick-up along Waiyaki highway, Nairobi County.
The three were rushed to Medanta Africare hospital in Nairobi County for emergency treatment.
Waiyaki way traffic police Commander George Obonyo who confirmed the incident said police are investigating the incident and that the school bus, belonging to a local private academy, has been towed for inspection.
According to a witness, the three victims were going to on Wednesday morning before the accident happened.
George said the pick-up was moving at a high speed along the busy highway, lost control and collided head-on with oncoming school bus.
The Wednesday morning accident create a larger traffic snarl-up along the busy road that lapse after three hours.
The latest development comes only two weeks when two school buses got involved in a road accident along Thika SuperHighway.
The cause of the Thika Road accident is still under police investigations.
