A middle-aged man from Kayole, Nairobi county is currently nursing serious injuries at Mama Lucy hospital after being assaulted by his wife on Sunday evening for misusing the money meant for purchasing Unga.
"Wapi Pesa ya unga?" The woman shouted at him as he grabbed him by his neck.
According to the area OCPD the war of words which could be heard by neighbors soon turned physical, and the woman grabbed a kitchen knife in an attempt to stab their child, only for the man to step in, a move that saw him get stabbed in the chest repeatedly leaving him with a deep cuts.
A Nyumba Kumi official while addressing the media revealed that as soon as neighbors and other members of the public got wind of what had transpired, pounced on the woman only for police to come to the rescue of the 29-year-old man.
Police told the media that the alleged woman by the name madam Prisca Wangare stabbed her husband, Isaac Macharia, in the stomach using a kitchen knife after a disagreement over an undisclosed matter at their Kayole home.
“The victim had come from work and quarrelled with his wife. She picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the stomach, causing serious injuries. She also sustained a swollen cheek and right ear,” the police report read in part.
