Today a driver and a passenger nearly escaped death after they almost plunged into the Indian Ocean at the Likoni Channel. The Likoni Channel usually connects the people of Mombasa town to people of Southern Coast. The Likoni Channels is one of the busiest Channels whereby thousands of Vehicles cross every day.
Drivers are normally urged to exercise lots of caution when driving their cars to cross the Channel. Faulty vehicles ware likely to have a break down and slow down normal activities at the ferry.
Today the truck owner is lucky to be alive after the brakes of the truck suddenly failed and the truck almost plunged into the ocean. Luckily there was a passenger's ferry on the dock and the driver opted to drive there. However no one was harmed and a mechanic was called. The vehicle was pulled out from the ferry using a break down vehicle. See images from Likoni Channel below.
