Man Returns Home After Five Months Since His Abduction

A family in Lamu County is grateful to God after their relative who went missing in June this year returned home five months later.

Taimur Kariuki Hussein was arrested by officers from the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) on June 28, and nothing had been heard about him since then.

His family has reained in darkness until yesterday when Mr. taimur resurfaced looking healthy and safe. "I am overwhelmed with joy. My son came this morning. He is in good health. He told us that his abductors took good care of him," stated Taimur's mother amid tears of joy.

Ms. Zeinab Hussein aged 71 was grateful that her prayers to have her son return home had been answered. Taimur was arrested shortly after his release from Kahawa Law Courts in Nairobi without any relative.

On June 14, he had appeared before Lamu Law courts, over charges related to terrorism and resisting arrest.
