It seems as if love related killings are on the rise with young people and sadly those in university and colleges are in a high rate.
According to a tweet posted by Kajiado tv, a 27year old man Samson Kipkorir Kemei has been arrested after he presented himself to loitoktok police station for allegedly murdering 22 years old Miriam Chepchirchir, a student at KMTC loitoktok campus.
In a circular going round on Facebook under OB numbers 3/ 23/10/2021, it is being reported that "Samson Kipkorir kipkemoi, a kipsigis male adult aged 27 years who introduced himself as IT intern in Ruaraka, Nairobi, that yesterday he paid a visit to his girlfriend namely Miriam Chepchirchir a Nandi female adult 22 years and a first year student of KMTC Loitoktok campus. A quarrel ensued between them and he stubbed her severally on the neck and she succumbed to injuries and further reported that he had come to surrender and confess to the crime. Police officers accompanied him to the scene located at kamkunji estate, around three kilometres east of the station and found the body of the deceased lying on the floor of her house with moltiple injuries on the chest. There was also signs of struggle and blood all over. Killer weapon, a knife was also recovered"
The scene has been properly documented, processed and body removed to loitoktok hospital mortuary. The suspect has been handed to the DCIO for further interrogation and preparation for court appearance case.
