Derek Chauvin Convicted For Murder of George Floyd

An ex-Minneapolis soldier, Derek Chauvin has been convicted to 40 years in jail over the murder of George Floyd. This means that Derek will spend the rest of his life in jail. The 12 bench jury arrived at decision to convict ex- soldier after finding him guilty guilty of all charges raised before him.

George Floyd was killed last year the sceen that saw mass protest all around the world. The black live matter protest forced United States of America judicial system and government to move with speed to ensure justice is served.

Derek Chauvin was accused of second degree unintentional murder, third degree murder and second degree manslaughter. The 12-member jury found Chauvin, 45, criminally liable in Floyd's death after considering three weeks of testimony from 45 witnesses, including bystanders, police officials and medical experts.

Speaking shortly after the court ruling, George Floyd's family and a group of human activists said that they are happy about the justice that the late Floyd has been accorded.

In conclusion, 40 years jail sentence of Derek Chauvin should be a lesson to all world leaders who Propagate racial discrimination. All of are equal irrespective of our colour. May the souls of George Floyd rest in eternal peace.
