Police in Kuresoi are investigating an incident where a 12-year-old boy was found dead by the road side. His body had injuries which showed that he had been defiled by his killers. Explaining the painful experience of losing her son, her mother said that he disappeared before she received the tragic news of his death the following morning.
According to her family, the boy left home yesterday to go and play with his friends. It was his routine to play with them in the afternoons. By 8 pm, he had not returned home. They started getting worried.
The family started making enquiries but did not get any feedback on his whereabouts. Their efforts to look for him that night bore no fruits. They later received information that his body was lying by the road nearby.
Residents asked the police to pursue the matter and bring the perpetrators of the offence to book. The police have however asked the public to provide them with any relevant information that will aid in arresting the suspects.
