Burial arrangements for Corporal Caroline Kangogo commenced one week back after she allegedly shot herself inside their bathroom in Elgeyo Marakwet County. This happened at a time when DCI officers were closely following her so as to ensure that she doesn't kill more innocent Kenyans.
Caroline's send-off ceremony was scheduled to happen last Saturday but this did not happen because postmortem had not been conducted forcing Iten Hospital team to stop the family from picking the body of their loved one.
I think its the pressure from her family that pushed the hospital to hire government pathologist called Oduor who successfully conducted the required tests hence revealing the cause of her death.
The family were then allowed to pick the body and burial process it underway at their rural home where a huge crowd has gathered to witness this historic send-off.
However, the standard magazine has reported that 10 police officers were present even though they didn't speak yet Caroline was one of them.
Actually we should not blame these officers because this whole thing is painful and they would have eulogized their colleague as one of the best officer. However, I think they decided to remain silent to avoid attack from netizens who were eagerly waiting to hear what their side of story.
