A cloud of mourning befell the city of Nakuru on the 2nd day of May 2021 after three children and house help perished in a fire tragedy in the town of Nakuru.
Mary Migwi, a police cop based in Nakuru was thrown into an ocean of mourning following the unfortunate demise of her three children identified as Leah Njoki, Teresa Wanjiku, Mildred Agal and house help identified as Mary Wairimu.
However, it could be a sigh of relief for Mary Migwi after former governor of Nairobi County, Mike Mbuvi Sonko articulated that incase an helping hand is needed, he will be amongst the individuals who will chip in. He further offered to pray for them during this challenging time.
While mourning the demise of the four individuals, Sonko has urged the general public to pray for the family of the deceased' for God to grant them strength during this difficult time.
"Nakuru is mourning...saddest news ever. I truely know the pain of losing loved ones in a tragic fire, Mary Migwi, My prayers are with you..Friends, my colleague went to work only kupigiwa simu eti nyumba imechomeka na watoto wake watatu aged 10, 7, 2 and house help wote wameteketea...it's so painful. Let's pray for this family..May God give you strength during this difficult moment. R.I.P Mary Wairimu (House help), Leah Njoki, Teresa Wanjiru, Mildred Agal. Incase a helping hand is needed we are ready to chip in," Mike Sonko stated.
